How To Create A Sexy Smokey Eye For Your Wedding Day
Okay ladies, I am sure that almost all of you have fallen in love with Smokey eye look. It is a wonderful look to wear out on the town, or even for a romantic dinner. However, did you know that you can also wear this look on your wedding day? You may choose to have the smoky eye look a bit more subtle for your wedding day, or you may like to amp it up a bit.. It all really depends on you!
Your groom-to-be will fall backwards (hopefully, not literally!) when you walk down the aisle to say “I DO!” You will be inviting him to the honeymoon all day without having to say a word. What is sexier than this makeup technique? Nothing!
Step One: Apply a creamy concealer all over your eyelids. Applying a concealer to your eyelids creates a smooth canvas allowing your eye shadow to stick and last all day.
Step Two: Gently sweep a pressed or loose powder over your eyelids. The powder will minimize your eye shadow from creasing, and you surly don’t want that to happen on your wedding day!
Step Three: Using your favorite black eyeliner pencil, trace the top of your lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner. Repeat for your lower lashes.
Step Four: Smudge your eyeliner (on both your top and bottom lash lines) using a blending brush, Q-tip, or sometimes there is a sponge on the other side of the eyeliner, you can use that if there is one.
Step Five: It is now time to create the classic charcoal look. Use your favorite Trio ‘Smokey Eye” eye shadow and sweep the lightest color of eye shadow across your entire eye lid.
Step Six: Use the medium shade of eye shadow in your ‘trio’ and blend it halfway across your eyelid. It is important that you blend eye shadow upward and outward into the crease of your eyelids.
Step Seven: Sweep the darkest shade of your ‘trio’ eye shadow onto the outer corner of your eyes as well as into your eye creases with your fluffiest blending brush. Make sure that you make it dark so it creates an intense yet sexy look.
Step Eight: Highlight your eyes natural angels as well as create contrast simply by applying a small amount of the lightest shade of the ‘trio’ eye shadow over your brow bone.
Step Nine: Use the darkest shade in your ‘trio’ and gently brush a small amount under your eyes close to your bottom lash lines to balance the intensity.
Step Ten: Finish your look with jet black mascara.
It is recommended that you practice this makeup technique well before your big day. Play around with different colors and shades until you find the perfect ones!
